Oh my...

Macie finally lost her first tooth! It was very loose, but she refused to pull it out. She was getting dressed and moved her mouth just right and it came out! She really wasn't quite sure what to think and it hurt too...once she got used to having a hole in her mouth and the tenderness went away, she then got excited knowing that the tooth fairy was finally going to come "pay" her a visit!

Birthday Fun

February is always a busy month for us with 2 birthdays to celebrate! Macie and Averie both had great birthdays, I am still trying to accept that they are both another year older. So hard to believe they are growing up so fast!

I'm behind...

Okay, so I am a little behind here...shocking, I know. I will attempt to do better, but somehow time keeps slipping away. Sadly, the pictures go back to Halloween. Two kitties and a flower. The top picture was from our Christmas card photo shoot with Diana. She rocks! Lindsie hardly ever smiles for a picture, so this was a rare occurrence, it is one of my all time favorite pictures of the girls. They are growing up too fast, makes me sad.

I suppose if I am going to do better at blogging, I better take some pictures. We have birthdays coming up so I must do better!!!

Our weekend with Rylie!!!

Last April Macie got to have a special weekend at Rylie's house and now it was our turn to have Rylie at our house. We were SO excited to have her and Macie couldn't wait to see her again. Macie and Rylie are the kind of best friends that it doesn't matter how much time has passed since their last visit, they just pick up like they saw each other yesterday. It is so sweet! It's also bittersweet to think that Macie and Rylie have been best friends since they were Lindsie's age. It is so awesome that they have so much love for each other! As much fun as the girls had together, I think Macie got a little irritated that Averie and Lindsie were on their heels the entire time. Averie doesn't know life without Rylie and she thinks she should be able to do whatever the big girls are doing. Lindsie just wants to be a part of ANYthing the big girls do, so Rylie is no exception. She just couldn't figure out where "Alligator" was! For two, she's got this thing down - Jessica, Alligator and Ellis are a part of the package too!

Anyway, for a short visit, we covered a lot of ground. The girls played hard all morning long and then we went to Macie's soccer game. After that, we had ice cream at Braum's, drove by Rylie's old house and then went to Macie's elementary school to play on the playground. Rylie reminded us that we HAD to go see the peacocks, so we did that too... After dinner and a bath the girls wanted to watch a movie, but we got our beds ready first and none of them made it past that! They were worn out (and so was I)!!!



Sunday we had a little more time with Rylie and then she headed back home. Hopefully this will become an annual tradition, we really enjoyed our time with Ry Ry, it's never long enough.

Are you scared???

We finally decided what we are going to dress up as for Halloween!!! Since the outfits are new and novel, I can't find a good enough hiding place to put these so the girls won't put them on and ruin them before the big day arrives. I think they are happy with what they picked out...what do you think?


I would have preferred Macie and Averie had different costumes, but they insisted AND agreed that it was okay to both be cats. Lindsie is just happy to have a costume. Thank goodness! The mask that goes with the cat costume pushes Averie's nose down so far the poor kid can't breathe, but "it's okay Mom, I don't mind"...sure Averie!

Averie & Lindsie's 1st Day of School

Today was Averie and Lindsie's first day of school at Rush Creek. Averie is finally in Ms. Darcy's Pre-K class. She has been waiting to be in Darcy's class since Macie was in there two years ago. Ms. Darcy is very special to us, so this is very exciting! It was a little weird though to take her to Macie's old classroom, very bittersweet. It's hard to believe that Averie has been at Rush Creek since she was 18 mos. old and in Carly's class. Wow! She sure has grown up.


Lindsie also did really well today. She is now in Ms. Holly's class and she was ready to go back! Some of her friends from Carly's class are in with her and she started playing as soon as she got in the classroom. She was too busy to care that we were leaving. I'll take it though, much better than tears. She loves it up there and had a great day. She only cried when it was time to get out of the swings at playground time!

This is what Averie looks like at the end of the day...I think she had a busy day and lots of fun!

Macie's 1st Day of School

Macie started first grade this past Monday. She had a great first week and we really love her teacher, Mrs. Campbell. We're looking forward to a great year - it's hard to believe she's so big! Where does the time go?
